Treatment of proliferative diabetic retinopathy with ranibizumab 0.5 mg yields better results than laser photocoagulation as per a study presented September 9, 2017 at the 17th EURETINA Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The between-group differences in neovascularization, central subfield retinal thickness, and best-corrected visual acuity were all statistically significant.
